Another child killed by a dog.
How many more people need to get killed by Staffordshires before the penny drops and they realise that fighting dogs and young children are not a good match?

Ban these dogs and anyone caught with one should be locked up, they are a status symbol amongst pikeys.

That poor child never stood a chance.

Charge the parents if it was their dog, you might as well give a 5 year old a loaded gun.

Yet again, another person that fails to understand it doesnt matter what the dog is, scummy owners breed scummy dogs. IN the 80's it was Dobermen, the it was , Rotweillers, now it's staffs.

Every staff I've known are the soppiest dogs you'd ever meet, because they're raised by good owners.

It's a little tired and played out even for me.

Absolutely no way anyone could post a thread like this unless they were looking for a reaction.

Re: Another child killed by a dog.
There's definitely something inside a lot of them, even if they have been bought up very well by decent owners. Michael Jackson's pet chimp was no doubt bought up well and seemed loving, but it's still an animal who would probably happily rip someone's arm off if stroked in the wrong way.

A mates soppy Staff attacked me once, just completely flipped and no one had even been touching it.

Just common sense to keep children away from such breeds.

For info....

Personality:

In its home country of England, the Staffordshire bull terrier is nicknamed the "nanny dog," such is its reputation as a child's playmate and guardian. Despite his fierce appearance, this dog is a lover, not a fighter. The breed is gentle, docile, and always on the look out for fun. Although not looking for trouble, the Staffordshire will not back down to a challenge and is not always agreeable with other dogs.

Obedience training is possible, although it is not the Staffordshire's strong point. Force training methods will lead nowhere, but if training is made into a game, then the Stafford is more than willing to play.

Living With:

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a dog that needs two things in life — close human contact and a chance to play. He is far too much a people dog to be exiled to the yard, and far too much an athlete to be stuck inside all day. Living with a Stafford means sharing time both inside and out. Given proper exercise of body and mind, the Stafford is a well-behaved house dog.

Just read this to my colleague and he's giving you a double wanker sign. He has a Staff, and had a Pit Bull before; both as genteel as Trevor Brooking himself.

Then again, he didn't raise them to be HARD. If you raised a human child the way some dunces raise their dogs, children wouldn't be safe with them either.
